As you all may or may not know, popular K-Pop / J-Pop singer Boa Kwon (better known by her stage name of BoA) is kicking down the golden gates of America and debuting there in October, with the release of her first English single, "Eat You Up." BoA starts now.

BoA's house:
In a recent press conference held by SM Entertainment today on September 2, officials stated that BoA will be releasing an album in the United States and enter the US music industry. In another press conference titled Best of Asia, Bring on America which will be held at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul, BoA's plans for the US market will be revealed.

The slogan Best of Asia, Bring on America, which is an acronym for "BoA," will be used to most effectively join the US music industry. SM will set up headquarters in the US to aid BoA in this process.

livedoor article:

Asia's Star, BoA is finally advancing into America.

A news conference "Best of Asia, Bring on America" will be held on 10th September in Seoul Paris Hotel, which will reveal the plan of BoA's advance into America.

The slogan "Best of Asia, Bring on America!" was made especially from BoA's initial - that BoA will be making the best advance into America.

This press conference will not only announce BoA's first step into the American market but awill also present the blueprint of her activities of her advance into the market.

On another hand, BoA's advance into America is viewed to cause a huge echo of response throughout the country and Asia. And will be much anticipated by music fans.

Boajjiang:

On August 29th, SM entertainment announced the launch of their American division, SM Entertainment USA. This follows YG and JYP's aspirations of bringing Korean artists into the American market, possibly moving BoA one step closer to USA's music industry.

One person cautiously said, "It is highly likely that there will be an official announcement as soon as discussions with BoA's Japanese management come along. BoA will delay her comeback in Korea to prepare for her advancement to America's market. The possibility of this being confirmed in September is high. They will announce it at least within this year and the chances for advancing towards America next year are quite high."

On the other hand, SM entertainment has consistently kept their mouth closed. One official said, "There is nothing yet to be revealed. Challenging the world's music industry, with her popularity established in Korea and Japan as her background, is a given basic strategy that hasn't changed."

"According to the article, BoA's American debut song is officially to be titled 'Eat You Up'. It will be a powerful dance track (YES, YES, YES!) and it's been produced by Bloodshy&Avant. Flo-Rida, a rapper whom successfully hit through the billboard charts with 'Low' will be featured on the rap remix. In the conference, a documentary about BoA's American activities, 'Eat You Up' and her first American album titled, 'LOOK WHO'S TAILING' (I'm pretty damn sure this a typo and meant to be TALKING) music video will be officially shown in that event. 'Eat You Up' music video will have 2 versions to be released.

I'm really interested how BoA is going to pull this off. While we wait for Utada with her upcoming English album, I think we should see how BoA fares with the States.

I wonder how America will react to her. I'm thinking she might be dissed by the way she speaks english.

I don't think she'll be dissed. Her music follows the current American radio trend at the moment, and we can't understand rap, but "Whatever U Like" by TI is basically number one in America right now, so I'm thinking she has SOME chance. Let's be grateful her English has improved, for the very least. I can understand her well enough.
