| Can you speak Malay? All I know is "Apa khabar?", ha. I like this idea! Spanish~ Hello = Hola How are you? = żCómo estás? (As in for a friend, or someone your familiar with.) How are you? = żCómo está? (Formal version, for people you're meeting for the first time and maybe superiors in work or something.) Thank You = Gracias You're Welcome = De nada Bye = Adiós | |

| I can't speak these fluently but I know some stuff French: - Bonjour. Je m'appelle XX [as we all know from Boku wa Kuma ] - Est-ce que tu es mon ame soeur? Je ne sais pas mais le Ciel m'a donne l'espere. [Are you my soul mate? I don't know but heaven gives me hope]. [random phrase and there should be some accents in there that I don't know how to type] Japanese [because I've just started taking a class and love speaking it] - amai kotoba to awai yume to koi no rizumu [sweet words, vague dreams and the rhythm of love] - watashi no hanii, aishiteru [my honey, I love you] - kimi no koto, kodoku na no, darling? [have you ever known being lonely darling?] I just love the word "amai" XD | |

| Cantonese is nearly impossible to phoneticize, but I'll take a stab at it. You will probably say it all wrong regardless.
^_-
Jo-sun : Good morning. (literal: early wake)
Nay-ho : Hello. (Literal: you're well.)
Hai : Yes
Do - Jae : Thank you. (Used for the reciept of substantial goods. Pronounciation note: It sounds nothing like the word 'do' in English. The O is most akin to the English sound of O + A, such as in the word "oar")
Mm-Goi : Thank you/ Please (Used as thanks for services, or the insubstantial)
Mm-hai (or) butt-hai : No. The former is almost never used colloquially.
And for everyone's favourite parts (bad words!)
Pook-gai! : Go to hell! (Literally: to fall on the street - it's actually quite a bad insult ..) Pook is pronounced like the English 'look'.
Haam-gaa-chan! : Bane of your family's fortune.
Chun-choi : Stupid/dumb. This is not always a bad thing to say - it can be used to describe or berete someone gently. Such as dummy versus retard.
I'll stop there. I don't want to be too vulgar about this. ^__^ | |
