| Nakata Yasutaka is a well-known Japanese musician, producer, and DJ. He is part of a duo called capsule. Besides working with Perfume, he has worked with Suzuki Ami (You know, FREE FREE!), Meg, Hazel Nuts Chocolate and other artists. His music is a fusion of house, lounge, electornia, and bossa nova. Some call him the 'god' of Shibuya-Kei. [If you ever heard music from Pizzicato Five or Kahimi Karie, that's Shibuya-Kei.]
And he's pretty good-looking.
As for Perfume, their music is definitely infectious and catchy. I heard about them shortly after their Complete Best album was released. But before they were produced by Yasutaka, their was very different from what they're releasing now. They were releasing stuff just in their hometown, Hiroshima. And now Perfume's earlier material prior to their major debut is difficult to find and very expensive to purchase.

| I didn't really liked the songs on Perfume ~Complete Best~(except for Perfect Star Perfect Style, Computer City and Electro World), but GAME just rocked | |

| I heard them once a few months ago. Their songs are certainly best when you're in a pop-happy mood.
I think I like Computer City the best, and their dances never fail to be cute.

| Thought they were TOTALLY weird at first (probably because the first time I heard/saw them was in their polyrhythm vid... apples???) But, they're extremely addictive, and the only way to describe their sound is: candy. | |

| I've been meaning to check out their GAME album but haven't gotten around to it yet. I should do that soon because Ami is really getting me to like Nakata produced tracks. | |

| I like the GAME album. Personally, I haven't heard many mainstream J-pop artists with that sound. And their choreography in their PV's (particularly Secret Secret) makes the song even more catchy. | |

| Hi, I'm a big fan of them since April. I bought "love the world" today. It's fairly nice. I didn't expect that the track 4 was this nice.
As for GAME, I recommend "Polyrhythm", "Chocolate Disco", "macaroni", "ceramic girl", "secret secret" and "Twinkle Snow Powdery Snow". I like "Perfect Star Perfect Style", "computer city", "electro world", "wonder2" and "Seventh Heaven" as well.
GAME Complete Best Polyrhythm (single CD) love the world (single CD) fan service bitter (Live concert DVD) I think these five are worth to get.

| Basically, if you like Perfume you'll like Capsule, they sound almost the same, except Capsule is a bit harder whereas Perfume is more bubbly and sweet.
But that's only from around their Fruits Clipper album onwards, before that they were a very traditional shibuya kei band and their sound now is nothing like their earlier albums. Download the Sugarless Girl and Flash Back albums, both from 2007, if you can. I can't really recommend single songs, they work better as whole albums, I don't think Capsule really release proper singles.

| Macaroni was my immediate favourite from Game. In fact I prefer the second half of the album from Macaroni onwards to the first half. | |
